Step 2 — Portion with Intention

Lay your slice flat on the cutting board, revealing all four cake layers and three swirls of icing inside.
Decide how you’d like to serve it:
Dessert portions — about 1" x 2", perfect for an indulgent slice.
Coffee portions — about 1" x 1", a little sweetness for a lighter moment.
Cut straight down so each piece holds its shape, like a little gift in frosting and crumb.

Step 3 — Serve with Grace

Place one neat slice on a plate, letting the beauty of the layers speak for themselves.
Return to your cake, cut another 1-inch slice, and repeat — steady, unhurried, intentional — until every guest has their piece.

When your cake is especially tall, you can make each piece even more delicate.
After portioning, slice each piece horizontally through the middle, creating two petite layers of sweetness from one.

Buttercream, Fondant, Ganache — Oh My!

1. Keep it Level

A cake is happiest when it’s flat and steady. Place your cake on a flat surface in your vehicle — the floor of the passenger side or the trunk with a non-slip mat works beautifully. 
- AVOID Placing the on seats if possible, it can cause the cake to tilt or shift during the drive.

2. Steady Does It

Drive gently, especially over bumps and sharp turns. Sudden stops or fast accelerations can cause the layers to shift or the frosting to crack. Think of it like carrying a precious gift — slow and steady wins the race.

3. Temperature Matters
